Holy Names High School has endured the test of time through the generous support of alumnae, parents, past parents, friends and grandparents, foundations, and the business community. Before the years of formal fundraising programs, the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary provided the most significant support in the implementation of their educational ministry to generations of young women. During these difficult economic times, the School is even more reliant on the generosity of the community to ensure the mission of Holy Names High School continues for another 140 years. This year 15% of the operating budget is dependent on successful fundraising results.
The quality of a HNHS education comes with significant cost that is not fully covered by tuition. The actual cost today per pupil is 20% higher than the tuition amount we charge. In fulfilling the mission of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, 67% of our current student body are on significant financial assistance.
