Black History Month Classroom Resources
In honor of Black History Month, I would like to share a few resources with you that may be helpful in honoring Black History in your classrooms during February.
NY Times - Black History, Continued...
This is an interactive website that includes dozens of Black stories and topics ranging from history and civics to biology and environmentalism. I was able to access it with my NY Times subscription; all of you should have access and if you are interested in using this resource but are having trouble with the link please let me know.
National Archives - Primary Sources
Above is a link to the Black History National Archives where you will find hundreds of primary sources related to Black History organized by topic.
Center for Racial Justice in Education
Here you will find several links to articles, lessons, and resources- all relating to how Black History can be taught and framed in the classroom. On this page you will also find resources centered on Afro-LatinX representation, Black LGBTQI+ Youth, and the celebration of Black girls in school.
