as you create a surreal room filled with objects of personal significance! This project explores each artist’s unique usage of scale, symbolism, composition, and identity.

All materials are provided for each student to create their own masterpiece!
Join us for this free event for middle school girls, grades 6-8. This inclusive project is perfect for all skill levels. No experience necessary!

On March 23rd, we are challenging you to #GiveLikeAGirl. As an alumna or friend of Holy Names, you understand the impact of an all-girls education. From our cutting-edge engineering curriculum to our award-winning Visual and Performing Arts department, your donation will support programs that empower out students to be the leaders of tomorrow.

Spirit Week is Here

Welcome to a very special time at Holy Names - Spirit Week! Spirit Week is all about building community and showing school pride. Over the next 5 days, each class will have several opportunities to show off their school spirit and earn points that will go towards the coveted 2022-2023 Spirit Week Championship! This year's theme is MOVIES! The week culminates in a fabulous Spirit Rally where each class performs a student-choreographed routine showcasing exactly who their class is and what their class is all about! HNHS Welcomes Jack and Jill of America Read-In

On Sunday, Holy Names welcomed the Oakland/Bay Area Chapter of Jack and Jill of America who sponsored an African American read-in in celebration of Black History month. The campus was a abuzz with students and families as the day began with a reading from Oakland Youth poet laureate Kaylan Black. The read-in continued with workshops for students of all ages. One workshop introduced those as young as 2 to Black heroes. Another taught teens about the mysterious world of NFT's and cryptocurrency. Organizers of the read-in believe that knowledge and, in particular, reading is the key to both learning and passing on the achievements of African Americans.
