Campus Ministry

Holy Names High School Campus Ministry department sponsors and supports programs that enhance the full development of each member of the Holy Names community–students, staff, parents, and faculty– by providing opportunities for reflection, retreat, service and prayer.

As a school sponsored by the Sisters of the Holy Names, we strive to foster the full development of each person through education, social justice, contemplation, and the arts.

Campus Ministry Goals

The following goals are based on the core values of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary.

  • Full Development of the Human Person
    Campus Ministry celebrates and honors each member of the HNHS community while developing leadership in students, especially in the areas of faith sharing and evangelization.
  • Education in the Faith
    Campus Ministry offers regular opportunities for prayer, retreat, and reflection in many forms.
  • Hospitality
    Campus Ministry fosters an environment of welcome and joy on campus through student leadership, programs, and events.
  • Dedication to Women and Children
    Campus Ministry sponsors and supports programs that highlight the struggle for liberation for women and children.
  • Dedication to Justice
    Campus Ministry sponsors and supports programs that highlight issues of social justice around the world and in the local community. Campus Ministry also strives to foster interactions grounded in right relationships.
  • Service to People who are Poor or Marginalized
    Campus Ministry sponsors and supports programs that allow for direct engagement with the poor and marginalized.
  • Commitment to Liberating Action
    Campus Ministry educated the HNHS community about ways to engage responsibly in the economy and the community.
  • Love for the Names of Jesus and Mary
    Campus Ministry promotes and highlights the spirituality and legacy of the Sisters of the Holy Names through programs and events on campus.
